Mobile Mapper 6 from Magellan
By rahmansunbeam,
Hello everyone!
Today I am going to share my experience with MobileMapper 6. I am going to tell how I had a chance to scare my fellow senior friends who couldn't calibrate the simple device, how I mesmerized my teacher who knew nothing about it and my friends of course.
Calibration
When you first unpack a MM6, you'll typically find few of the following things,
-the device ,
-data cable,
-manual cd with few awful softwares,
-you can find few more cds containing MM Field software,
Code/batch processing:
By veegee,
Dear friends,
is there any shortcut method to clip batch number of raster files. I have few raster images and want to clip them in grid format as per the boundary extent and mosaic them.
Thanks in advance.

Toposheet problem:
By veegee,
Dear all,
i have one toposheet which ends with NAME_GEO.tif which is not opening in arcmap/ERDAS showing error [ "TIFFReadDirectory : Cannot handle different values per sample
for "MaxSampleValue" "] - what is the error. How it can be used.
And i don't think it is even geotiff format data.
thanks
Lineament Detection
By speleotherm,
I am trying to use a variety of remote sensing softwares to automatically detect lineaments (specifically, fractures) in 1 meter resolution air photos and 5 meter resolution DEMs. Has anyone done anything like this before and/or do you have recommendations? The literature seems sparse with information.
