Help setting out a flow chart for GIS process
By JB2033,
Hi ,
I'm writing a project proposal for a class project and it requires that we develop a flow chart to show our methods of accomplishing our project.
I'm looking at mapping and analysing Deer-Vehicle collisions using Kernel Density.
My starting data sets are:
The map of my study area, My Deer vehicle collision points from past 10 years, Road shape file and Land cover data.
My first flow chart step is as follows:
Deer-vehicle collision data --> Plot Points on Map
How to Conduct Kernel Density Estimation
By JB2033,
HI GIS folks,
I'm hoping you can help me figure out how to conduct a Kernel Density Estimation on Deer-Vehicle Collision data.
I have some Deer Vehicle Collision data and i'm trying to identify "hot spots" for these collisions within a certain region.
In a "flow chart" style explanation, how would I do this?
So far, my understanding is this:
Deer Vehicle Data ---> Apply: Kernel Density Estimation ---> Produce: Kernal Density Raster Surface ---> Apply: Reclassific

First, the technical details about my installation: Based on Windows Se7en x64 I've installed PostgreSQL 9.0.18 as Geo Database in order to use QGIS 2.4.0 and all was fine. Why PostgreSQL 9.0.5? Just simply because I have ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 and I put the Client Libraries 9.0.5 inside "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.1\bin" Now, when I want to connect in ArcCatalog then the problem appear (even with localhost as Instance
Simultaneous data from Landsat 8 and Terra's MODIS
By LeandroCoutinho,
Hello. I'm conducting a research of the surface temperature of a in-land reservoir in Brazil. To estimate the surface temperature, i'm trying to use Landsat's TIRS, bands 10 and 11, and MODIS MOD11A1 thermal product. MODIS has way too low spatial resolution for my study site, while Landsat's TIRS has high resolution, but no solid LST algorithm. I intended to compare both sensors data to create a regression curve, but i stumbled on the fact that I can't find simultaneous data from both satellit
