LANDSAT thermal band for Land Surface Temperature (LST)

You better use Landsat5TM or Landsat7 ETM+ 61 band for this purpose. You have to convert the Digital numbers into the Sensors spectral radience and than convert it Sensors spectral brightness or temperature in Kelvin unit.
