i found here a list of all satellite (most geostationary meteo) with live imagery



still what i looks like it's something like this


in this case it seems that VIIRS (Visible Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite) was used (on soumi satellite of NOAA)

Then, theoretically, Skybox satellite can also take night imagery, but there is at the time no catalog..




and EROS-B satellite with a very high resolution
