ArcScene projection error

Recommended Posts

Hi! I using WGS84 coordinate system in my project. If I will export web scene, arcscene give this error;

000269 : The cartographic spatial reference does not have a projected coordinate system.

Description

ArcGIS needs to use a spatial reference with a projected coordinate system to display features in the proper location.

Solution

Specify a spatial reference with a projected coordinate system.

How to fix it?

Hi Akif95,

For ArcScene, I will suggest you to use a projected coordinate system like UTM Grid.. and as it is named, it's for a scene and using WGS84 is much more for ArcGlobe who is dedicate for a large area.

If the coordinate is unknown that you have to do it manually by using ArcCatalog.

Select your feature, right click then Properties. Goes to XY Coordinate System and select the appropriate one.

Click OK and closed.

This should solve you issue.

Akif95 WGS84 is not a projection System. It is a Datum. Like darksabersan says you need to assign a projected coordinate system. Either you can import it from another layer or manually assign it.
