Dear All I want to use supervised image classification method in ENVI 5.3 and I want to link image in ENVI with google earth for accurate training data selection. I can't find this in ENVI. In Erdas Imagine this is really easy to link image with GE but in ENVI i can't find!

Hi Everyone, As far as I know, this is impossible and the only way we can do this is by visual interpretation. But out of desperate need of data, the satellite images from Google Earth are all we have to assess damaged sites. I got the images as JPEG from Google Earth and made a mosaic and saved it as TIFF. The mosaic is already true color, but by any chance, does anyone know if there are algorithms/methods how to extract/classify features using a single band or true image? Hello, I am using a Selva edition. I'm a rookie about all GIS and we didn't do any kind of tutorial like this in class before.. My objective is to take any kind of place's picture from Google Earth with height infos of course, and then put it on IDRISI, use "ORTHO" command to see the area i picked from Google Earth. I know i need a file type with Z coordinates in it but we didn't learn how to convert .kml files to IDRISI. Before you ask i already tried KML to Idrisi command and it didn't work. Can anyone help me and tell me how to create a goole earth file that i can use in IDRISI with ortho command step by step ? Thank you so much
