Basic line type question

I am a very low level rookie, please excuse.  In a feature class I have many line types with many different thickness.  Can I change them all to one thickness as a group, or do I have to change individually?  If so, a little direction is greatly appreciated.

first we need to know what software from you, in arcgis for example, selecting all the line and right click you can select properties and make adjustment for thickness

It is Arcgis 9.3.1, and it seems like I selected all line types in the feature class and tried right clicking, but it didn't give me the opportunity to change thickness.  When I'm in the office I'll have to try again.

You need to know some basics.

btw, on the table of contents, just click on the line below the layer's name you want to change, then width of line  :tongue:

I am familiar with how to change the width of one line.  I have a feature class with multiple linetypes, all with a different thickness.  I am trying to select ALL of the linetypes, and change them all to one given thickness. :cool:

why don't you try adjusting them per linetype, using one kind of linetype for all?

if you are seeking to change the linetype on a SINGLE feature, and the attributes can be sorted in such a way that each attribute value defines a class, right on the feature , properties, symbology tab.
