For me SimCity is one of the inspirations to work in my current field of GIS and Remote Sensing, the thing that really got me interested in maps, urban planning and so on. Perhaps other people on this forum feel the same. Anyway, I am really glad that an awesome game like SimCity gets rebooted. Hopefully they will get it right this time and not make a huge mess that is SimCity Societies. Funny enough, EA recognizes this by not thinking as SimCity Societies as a part of the SimCity francise, and it's now back at it's Maxis subsidiary, where it belongs. To be released in 2013. I can't wait for the new one to come out. Heck, my professor in Urban and Regional Systems even asked the class if anyone in it played SimCity!
