maunaloa Posted February 3, 2012 Report Share Posted February 3, 2012 Hi ppl! My friend sad once, he had a processed srtm data, because the forests are cutted. SRTm is a surface model, so it contains all surface objects, like building complexes, etc. The resolution isn't too big, to see each buildings, but the forests are so big, that they modifing the result SRTM data. eliasj Posted February 8, 2012 Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 Hi, maybe cutting the areas with forest to the SRTMs and make them a subtraction between an estimative height value of the trees and the z value of each cell, and finally putting them together again...
