Percent tree cover for the dry season?

Stephanie

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am looking for high resolution percent tree cover data for Southern Africa. I know the Hansen dataset has percent tree cover at 30 m global, but the values correspond to the growing season. I'm in need of percent tree cover for the dry season, so minimum tree cover instead of maximum tree cover which is the growing season. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to obtain this?

Thanks!

Try the MODIS (vegetation monitoring) data from GLCF. They are probably not as fine as Landsat, but may give you a rough picture.
