I just found this looking for more info about InterLIS.

These Swiss people really know GIS job.

The VDMK Image contains all components you need for running QGIS Cloud in your own infrastructure. You install a complete spatial data infrastructure based on QGIS Cloud in few minutes.

VMDK Server Image 30 days trial is offered for download on this page

http://sourcepole.ch/en/seite-1/qgis-private-cloud/

Has anyone here tried this?

I try to download image to see it what is inside, but can't do it.

I also believe it should be a Linux desktop (Ubuntu or CentOS) and I am very interested in how they limit it's use to 30 day :).

why you cant do that?

limiting just like other paid linux os, you can see cloudlinux for example, they provide 30 trial too

Eventually I did it. It was problem with my ISP.

I have no experiences with original paid linuxes, only with fixed ones (like Red Hat), so I don't know how that protection works.

As I can see, Ubuntu Desktop x64 is inside, but I'm not sure which one: 12.04 or 14.04. They both are mentioned in the same document. Interesting, DiskInternals Reader 2.2 for TC can't open this vmdk image, it only shows empty partitions.
