group5e Posted March 10, 2013 Report Share Posted March 10, 2013 Shades can be drawn in photoshop by hand, through various blending techniques and by using the Geographic Image extension by Avenza. cseu Posted April 24, 2013 Report Share Posted April 24, 2013 A new masterpiece from Greenpeace : http://www.intothearctic.gp/ The map is not tiled, it's a whopping PNG of 1950 x 2455 pixels : http://wac.7ce6.edgecastcdn.net/807CE6/intothearctic_gp/assets/images/mainMap.jpg (maybe the URL changes) There's only one javascript for everything (apart from a browser detection and a bugtracker script) so i guess everything is written from scratch and doesn't depend on some other libraries, unfortunately the code has been minified.
