Need Help: Google Earth

Hello everyone,

I need few advice about google earth.

1. how to download GE image with grids. i use gmapmaker but it doesn't show grid. GE plus blends the grid so small in large image they are hard to read. 

2. is there any way i can save GE image with the elevation data, so that i can make 3d map in ArcGIS 9x.

ISN'T THERE ANYONE, ANY KIND SOUL TO HELP THIS POOR ME! I really want a solution. tell me something about the number 2 at least.  :sad:

I don't think GE is the best route to obtain elevation data.  I know you can save oblique areal views directly from google Earth and you can also export shapefiles into google Earth (http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=14273), so that might be your best bet. 

You would be better off downloading elevation data from the USGS seamless server (http://seamless.usgs.gov/website/seamless/viewer.htm) and using that in ArcMap

There might be a way to export elevation data from GE if you have the pro version, but I am unsure.

Thanks for reply. GE pro do not do that, i've already through. ASTER is another option, but GE still might be better in various cases (ie resolution). It's GeoEye data and better, i mean if you look at the cost. I was thinking combining Landsat image (which is free) with elevation, outside America of course.
