  1. Thanks Lurker! Thanks for moving the subject, too! I'm still getting used to posting on this site. :grin: 3dbu => This is a good paper. It follows Lurker's flow chart (with greater detail, of course). These will be very useful.
  2. I am trying to use a variety of remote sensing softwares to automatically detect lineaments (specifically, fractures) in 1 meter resolution air photos and 5 meter resolution DEMs. Has anyone done anything like this before and/or do you have recommendations? The literature seems sparse with information.
  3. I don't think GE is the best route to obtain elevation data. I know you can save oblique areal views directly from google Earth and you can also export shapefiles into google Earth (http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=14273), so that might be your best bet. You would be better off downloading elevation data from the USGS seamless server (http://seamless.usgs.gov/website/seamless/viewer.htm) and using that in ArcMap There might be a way to export elevation data from GE if you have the pro version, but I am unsure.
